Privacy Policy

This privacy policy explains how Nordic Appworks ("we", "us") handles information in the RebootMonitor Android app (package name app.rebootmonitor.mobile) and on the website rebootmonitor.com.
In short: the app works completely offline. All reboot data stays on your device. We do not collect, sell or share personal data, and the app contains no ads, analytics or tracking.
1. Data stored by the app
RebootMonitor stores the following information only locally on your device:

The app does not request internet access, so it cannot send this data anywhere. The app has Android backup turned off, so this data is not copied to your Google account either. We have no access to it.
2. Permissions
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: to detect when the device has restarted, so the restart can be recorded.
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS: to show optional reminders when the device has not been restarted for 7 days. You can turn notifications off at any time in Android settings.
3. What we do not do
- No accounts or sign-in
- No advertising or advertising IDs
- No analytics, crash reporting or tracking SDKs
- No location, contacts, photos or other personal files are accessed
- No data is sold or shared with third parties
4. Deleting your data
All data is removed when you uninstall the app, or when you choose Settings → Apps → RebootMonitor → Storage → Clear data. Because we never receive your data, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
5. Managed devices (MDM)
If your device is managed by an organization, for example through Microsoft Intune, your organization may manage the app according to its own policies. RebootMonitor itself does not send any reboot data to your organization or to us.
6. The rebootmonitor.com website
The website does not use cookies, analytics or tracking. It is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may process technical data such as your IP address in server logs for security and operation. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
The website uses these third-party services:
- Contact form (Formspree): if you send us a message, your email address and message are processed by Formspree and delivered to us by email. We use this information only to answer your question and delete it when it is no longer needed.
- Buy Me a Coffee: the support button loads a script from Buy Me a Coffee. If you choose to make a donation, this is handled by Buy Me a Coffee under their own privacy policy. We do not receive your payment details.
7. Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or Norway, you have rights under the GDPR, including the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you. This only applies to messages sent through the contact form, because that is the only personal data we receive. You can also file a complaint with your national data protection authority. In Norway, that is Datatilsynet.
8. Children
RebootMonitor is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any personal data from anyone, including children.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the "Last updated" date above.
